Seward/Polk Successes
With a class of 19 graduates, Seward County LeadershipPlenty will be lead by recent graduates of the program. Their goal is to focus more immediately on local issues and projects and tying in more local businesses experiences into the classes. There have been many individual goals and accomplishments already. Examples follow:
- Serving as president of a local civic club with over 100 members.
- Serving on a village board
- Working more effectively with youth programs
- More comfortable in speaking in front of groups
- Developed a new network of people that would not be known without LeadershipPlenty
- Coordinating the second year of LeadershipPlenty
- Many class members took the LeadershipPlenty class knowing that they would either be in leadership roles or were already there. The class provided some new tools and techniques to use as well as more background about how to be more effective.
